Big News in the Village

The village park on the corner of Wallace St. and Rt. 50 was media central as a replacement Christmas tree was erected and decorated. The original tree decorated by Cub Scout Pack 2 was stolen over the weekend.

It was a scene much like OJ's Courthouse parking lot as satellite trucks from local news stations filled the street. John Craig(WTEN), Kumi Tucker(WNYT) and others chatted with kids and other local residents who turned out to help.

The tree was donated by the Scotia Permanent Firefighters Association and up before most residents knew it was missing.

It's all about the kids

Decorations are added to the new Village Christmas Tree.
