Site of New Firehouse?
A firestorm of controversy has begun over the proposed new firehouse. After years of
indecision it appears the village is close to an unpopular solution.
One proposal would
have the new fire house built on this site. The police and village hall would
expand using the current space now occupied by the fire department.
Another cheaper proposal would expand the current building to include
the Village Paint Store and some of the
newly developed Village Green.
The only thing that everyone agrees on is the appearance of the new
firehouse. It shouldn't look anything like the CVS building.
