Opening Soon

The traditional first sign of spring in Scotia is the opening of Jumpin' Jacks Drive-In. Rumor has it the steak sandwiches, fish fries and onion rings will start cooking on Thursday, March 27th.

We all hope the snow is melted by then and Mohawk River ice jams won't cause us to post a photo later this month of Jumpin Jacks under water.

Happy Birthday Scotia

Scotia celebrated its 99th birthday with a special celebration recently during a village board meeting. While Scotia has been around for more than 99 years, the official incorporation occured in 1904.

Plans are already underway for a much bigger village wide celebration next year when Scotia turns 100.
