Rotary visits Australia

A number of Scotia Rotarians including President-elect John Pytlovany had the honor of attending this years International Rotary Convention in Brisbane, Australia.

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Next year our own Scotia Rotary will celebrate 75 years of service to our village and its residents.

Discovery Channel - Monster Garage

On the return trip from Australia, Chief Pytlovany stopped in Long Beach, CA for the filming of the popular Monster Garage show. Selected from thousands of applicants our village Chief of Police worked on a specialized team with show star Jesse James converting a former police vehicle into a custom show car.

Freedom Park Season Opens

Doc Scanlon's Rhythm Boys took the stage to kick off the 2003 Freedom Park season. A large first night crowd arrived even though the grass was still a little wet. The event was sponsored by Glen Sanders Mansion.

Free Dance Lessons

Adrian and Lisa from the "Most Dangerous Swing Dance Lesson" started things off at 6:30 with free lessons. The results were great. The dancers added entertainment to the entire night of music.
